    FAQ

It’s simple, natural and biodegradable diapers made from bamboo fibers have benefits that other biodegradable diapers made from cotton do not. Not only is bamboo 70% more absorbent, but it keeps babies 100% drier as it wicks moisture away from your baby’s skin. Bamboo is also thermal regulating by permitting fresh air to circulate keeping your baby’s skin to remain dry and comfortable in any temperature. It also has excellent natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties.Bamboo fibers are organically smooth and round, making them ideal for creating super soft fabric materials. The fibers are naturally hypoallergenic, as bamboo grows rapidly without the use of harmful fertilizers or pesticides, and because the fibers are naturally smooth no chemical treatment is needed to create softness. Bamboo also generates up to 30% more oxygen than other plants and tree.

Little Toes Diapers were made for both day and night use, so the diapers had to be absorbent and keep babies dry overnight. Independent Lab testing that included premium disposable bamboo diapers as well as conventional diapers rated Little Toes Bamboo Diaper number #1 on absorbent capacity. Also, when tested our diapers absorbed liquid into the core in less than nine seconds.

Yes, approximately 67 percent of a Little Toes Diaper is made from biodegradable materials . Our top and back sheets are made from 100% biodegradable bamboo fiber. Unlike regular diapers that remain in a landfill for up to 550 years, Little Toes top and back sheets and the paper pulp can decompose in a landfill when exposed to light in 180 days. As of now there is no such thing as a 100% biodegradable diaper, but if it can be made safely you can be sure we will do our best to make them.

The wood pulp found in your baby’s diaper is bleached in order to improve the pulp’s absorbency. In today’s diapers the pulp is bleached using two different methods ECF and TCF. ECF which stands for elemental chlorine free is pulp that is bleached with chlorine dioxide, which is a derivative of chlorine. It is more commonly used as it makes the diapers cheaper to produce.Little Toes diapers contain TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) pulp that does not use chlorine or chlorine derivatives in the bleaching process. Instead TCF pulp is bleached using oxygen, peroxide or ozone based bleaching systems, which are the safest bleaching method available today.

A wetness indicator is a convenient tool for parents to know when the baby’s diaper is wet and needs to be changed. The indicator is made from a glue that lays on the PE layer of the diaper which is not in touch with your baby’s skin. Our wetness indicator changes from yellow to green.

Little Toes Diapers top and back sheets are made from 100% bamboo fibers; therefore, they are responsibly sourced in China. All Little Toes products are manufactured in plants that are certified as socially responsible facilities. The diapers are then distributed by our parent company Products On The Go LLC, a Florida based certified woman owned small business.
